CAN I SUBSTITUTE A NECK LIFT WITH LASER?

sagging neck

The short answer is -maybe. The aging process of the human body as we have discussed in the past revolves around the changes that occur in the dermal level of the skin. There are certain cellular components like fibrin, and collagen whose chemical composition and molecular structure change with age.

These changes accompany the aging process. In addition, when the skin surface area expands as it does with the aging process of sagging – accompanied by sagging of the underlying muscles then non-surgical modalities have limited value.

However up until the time that these dermal, and muscle changes become profoundly exorbitant, the nonsurgical energy introduction mechanisms like laser may be of help. Remember these energy introduction mechanisms such as lasers, and radiofrequency. ULTHERAPY – which is essentially heat delivered through ultrasound. These produce what is believed to be a controlled burn to the tissue.

Neck Lift

This burning process is essentially damaging with the intent of repairing collagen production to produce the intended rejuvenation result. But once the sagging and the skin damage have become so profound that nonsurgical modalities will have minimal or no effect then the deep plane facelift with all its associated techniques is the gold standard to which everything is compared.

At this stage, there is no substitute for surgery. Now we postoperatively offer nonsurgical supportive techniques to fine-tune the result and to prolong its benefit. Syl firm X – with exosomes or PRF can significantly improve skin texture and in conjunction with surgery can help achieve maximum tightening of the neck and jawline.

Usually by the time our faces reach 50 years of age or older the nonsurgical modalities have minimal effect and we most likely are in the category of a surgical face and neck lift. Following the anatomical reversal of the sagging tissue, we can incorporate the nonsurgical modalities to maximize and prolong the result. A smooth tight jawline and skin of the face and neck are highly desirable conditions to achieve.

When we look our best, we feel our best and we can live life to the fullest.
