In light of the new viral issues pervasive in the world and in our country, we must extend our commitment to patient safety and patient security to address this issue. Complying with the recommendations asserted by the public health authorities in the state in the country we urge all patients who have been exposed to anyone known to have a coronavirus to postpone their appointment for at least 14 days. If you are a patient due for a visit and you have symptoms you may call and reschedule.
As we always do before each new patient all surfaces exam chairs and counters and all possible exposure sites are cleansed. The restroom is also sanitized by our staff after every use. We keep patient safety our priority.
Keep in mind that this is not the plague. It is a viral infection for which there is no known vaccine as yet.
There are individuals who test positive but do not have any symptoms if you do have symptoms it’s best
to be tested. Usually, fever and other flu-like symptoms may be present and if they are testing as indicated.
As with most all new viral respiratory infections the incidence of infection over time should decrease and life will return to its normal rhythm and activities. Until such time our precautions are merited.
For the latest COVID-19 information, please refer to the Center for Disease Control website which is frequently updated with the latest information and developments. Stay safe and we will get through this time.
