Cosmetic surgery or surgery to improve your appearance requires an in-depth evaluation by the patient. The concept of quality in products and services can be identified by those seeking those products and services. Designer products have an identifiable level of appeal because of the many factors that contribute to their creation whether it be clothing or accessories or cars or houses. The point is quality is expensive. This is because it requires the best tools and materials as well as a highly-skilled and trained performer.
Cosmetic surgery is a luxury item but is highly desirable by people all over the world. Every procedure that we provide to patients in plastic and cosmetic surgery requires a significant degree of knowledge, experience, training, and talent. It takes years of training for a plastic surgeon to refine his or her skills to offer and deliver the highest quality of results with the minimum amount of complications.
Because these cosmetic surgery procedures are elective I must be conscientious about preoperative evaluation to determine the safety for the patient to proceed. Not only is the creative and atomic artistry a focus for my procedures. A preoperative evaluation to determine safety is essential. Not all practices do this.
Occasionally we will find a blood test, or an x-ray, or an EKG that is abnormal and we must assess these issues preoperatively. Again not all clinics will do this. I strongly suggest that patients evaluate preoperative and postoperative results in photos in the galleries for the surgeons they are seeking to consult. Our gallery and library of results speak for themselves. And, in my opinion, is one of the best anywhere.
I would avoid a discount cosmetic surgery clinics because they cut corners not only in the preoperative evaluation but in the delivery of the final surgical procedure. For example, a breast and abdominal procedure is commonly known as a mommy makeover. Un the most skilled hands could start at $25k. Depending upon the size and the extent of work needed- the price will increase.
My advice is to search as detailed and as diligently as possible. Focus on credentials, years of experience, and the full array of before and after photos. Also, your interaction with your surgeon should be very complete. It should be thorough, and satisfying. All your questions and concerns must be taken into consideration. I consider every surgical procedure that I perform to be an exercise in creative anatomy acquiring a vision sharing with the patient. Furthermore, a profound attention to detail.
