Can I Get the Exact Same Nose as My Wish Picture?

The preoperative consultation or evaluation for rhinoplasty is crucial. During this meeting, the doctor and their team work closely with the patient to understand their goals. Remember, rhinoplasty falls into three main categories: primary rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, and ethnic rhinoplasty.

A detailed evaluation and precise measurements are taken. We highly encourage patients to share pictures of noses they admire from all angles. Most often, patients provide images from our gallery, or they may bring photos from the internet, including those of celebrities with features they like. This process of sharing “Nose Job wish picture” is generally more effective than relying on computer imaging.

It’s important to note that final results in cosmetic surgery, especially rhinoplasty, cannot be guaranteed. Throughout the consultation process, we focus on setting realistic expectations. Detailed anatomical assessments, including skin thickness, play a vital role in this. For those considering revision rhinoplasty, we also discuss the procedure’s limitations.

In most cases, whether it’s a primary, revision, or ethnic rhinoplasty, we can achieve a close approximation to the “wish pics.” The most helpful postoperative photo will be taken on the operating table immediately after the procedure. However, it’s crucial to understand that swelling will occur, and the final results may not be visible for at least a year. Therefore, while we aim for a close match, an exact replication of the wish picture is not always possible.

We find this method far more useful than computer imaging in determining the patient’s desired outcome.
