CAN PERMANENT MAKEUP AFFECT MY SURGERY RESULT?

permanent make upThe use of application of colored dye usually black or brown to the eyebrow’s upper and lower eyelids and the role of the upper and lower lips are common. Microblading and tattooing of the eyebrow can also be a very valuable aesthetic fashion look. This procedure is known as permanent makeup.

The answer to the above question is maybe. It all depends on where the tattooing is. And, how dark the pigment is. Also, the makeup technique put to use. The upper eyelid eyeliner may be affected by an upper lid blepharoplasty. It may pull this line up slightly onto the upper lid.

The lower lid blepharoplasty incision can be right within the lower lid permanent makeup line. Therefore, when faced with this situation I usually make the incision just below the permanent makeup line of the lower eyelid.

Now, a coronal brow lift may shift the upper micro-bladed eyebrow upward. Therefore, caution with this procedure should be embraced. I would recommend to a patient to have a brow lift first and allow swelling and time to elapse before row micro bleeding.

The ink fades over time and touchups may be required. There may be a distinction between semi and permanent makeup however ink is ink and will fade with time. A thorough and complete discussion of permanent makeup should be had with the surgeon prior to entertaining any facial cosmetic surgery that may impact this procedure.
